Burning Candles Safely

1. Always trim the cool wick before lighting and ensure the wax pool is free of debris.
2. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep a lit candle in sight at all times!
3. Always burn your candle on a flat fireproof surface with a wide berth of space around it.  Be careful on glass, wood or marble surfaces because of heat.  Never burn a candle on OR near anything that might catch fire, like paper, fabric, or decorations.
4. Keep lit candles away from drafts–open windows, air conditioners, vents, fans, etc.
5. Keep candles out of the reach of children, pets and clumsy humans!
6. Blow the flame out gently and don’t replace the glass lid until the flame extinguishes completely and clears of smoke. If you’ve created a large wax pool during your burn, blow it out gently to avoid wax splattering.

Maximizing Your Gorgeous Candle

1. Burn your candle each time when it can be lit for 2-3  hours so that the wax melts to the edges of the container to avoid tunneling.  If it doesn’t reach the edge it will continue to burn down from that ring and you will loose the gorgeous scent and experience of your full candle!
2. When the wick is cool, trim it to 1/8″ every time before lighting to prevent black smoke and residue.  Always keep the wax pool free of debris for both beauty and safety.  If you do get black smoke on the inside of the vessel because let’s face it sometimes we forget!  Then take a paper towel and wipe it clean when the vessel and wax are cool and the candle is of course not lit.
3. To maximize the fragrance do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time and for safety discontinue burning your candle when only ¼” wax remains.

Orders typically ship out within 3-5 business days from receipt of order. Please note that orders are not shipped on Saturdays, Sundays, or major US National Holidays. We are unable to ship orders in extreme hot or cold temperatures as it may damage our handcrafted products. Shipping is via USPS and/or UPS and we offer free ground shipping for orders $75 or more and discounted flat rate ground shipping for $7.95 on orders less than $75.
